After a career that has spanned grappling, MMA, and boxing, Dillon Danis has announced his retirement via social media. The black belt ADCC Worlds veteran has not competed in Brazilian jiu-jitsu since 2017.

YouTube star turned boxer Logan Paul brought some backup with him to his weigh-in before his boxing fight against Dillon Danis in Manchester, England this weekend.

Dilllon Danis, an IBJJF world champion at the colored belts and ADCC veteran with a 2-0 MMA record, has had to pull out of his upcoming boxing match with Youtuber KSI. The fight was scheduled for January 14th at Wembley Arena in London. KSI's management team had this to say:

The year-long qualification process for the 2022 ADCC World Championships is one of the most fascinating things in jiu-jitsu. Recently, we published an article about Dillon Danis watching a viral video of a Baltimore teenager getting beaten up by several students in his school's bathroom. Danis was bullied himself as a child and felt the need to reach out to help. Dillon said if the victim was interested in training, he would happily pay for his jiu-jitsu membership. The bullying victim accepted Dillon's offer, and today this photo was posted of the kid's first day on the mat. Danis had this to say about the victim joining;

This past week, Dillon Danis came across this heartbreaking video of a teenager being jumped by several other students inside a school bathroom. Dillon reached out to the victim and offered to pay for a jiu-jitsu membership at his nearest BJJ academy.

We are less than a week out from the 2019 ADCC World Championships.
