Taking place every two years, the ADCC World Championships have long been dominated by Brazilians and Americans in terms of participants by country. This year, Canada checks in behind Brazil, USA, and Australia as the fourth most represented country with six athletes qualifying to fight at the 2024 ADCC World Championships.

One of the most interesting parts of grappling is seeing how it continues to evolve, even in small positions. Ethan Crelinsten of the B-Team will be returning to the biggest tournament in grappling, as he has been officially invited to compete in the 2024 ADCC World Championships. The tournament, happening August 17th & 18th in Las Vegas, NV, will be Ethan's third appearance at the ADCC Worlds after previously winning the North American Trials.

B-Team's Ethan Crelinsten and Pedigo Submission Fighting's Dante Leon are two of the best lightweight submission grapplers on Earth, and they are set to face off on Aug. 10 at Tezos WNO: Meregali vs Duarte for the vacant 155lb championship.

The bout will be on the main card of Tezos WNO 19: Meregali vs Duarte presented by Fat Tire on Thursday, August 10 in Austin, TX at the Palmer Event Center.

The card has been shuffled and shuffled again; but now it’s fight week, and the betting lines are official for Tezos WNO: Ste-Marie vs Bastos presented by Fat Tire.

The headline bout between WNO heavyweight Champ Pedro Marinho and ADCC 2022 88kg Champion Giancarlo Bodoni has been canceled due to injury, paving the way for Brianna Ste-Marie and Mayssa Bastos to become the main event of the evening.

Twisted Church returned for its second event in Columbus, OH on Saturday, Oct. 22. Ethan Crelinsten submitted each of his opponents in the main event, a 16-man lightweight tournament, to win the $10,000 grand prize.

As the dust settles after the 2022 ADCC World Championships, ADCC has released the winners of their four prestigious awards given out at every ADCC Worlds. The awards are for best athlete, best takedown, best match and fastest submission.

Great news for the grappling world as Mo Jassim has been selected as the Head Organizer for the ADCC World Championships in 2024. This event will again be held in Las Vegas with a targeted date of September 2024, with trials kicking off at the East Coast Trials in November 2023.

The European trials have often been considered one of the "easiest" methods by which an athlete can earn entry to ADCC, especially compared to North American and South American trials.
