We have our co-main event set for WNO 27, as two of the best heavyweights in the world will throw down in a major matchup. It will be two Austin-based stars, as Six Blades's Victor Hugo takes on New Wave's Luke Griffith in a battle between two men who are undefeated on WNO. WNO 27 goes down April 18th in Round Rock, TX, with the main event happening between ADCC Double Champ Kaynan Duarte and CJI Champion Nick Rodriguez.

Grappling legend Xande Ribeiro has thrown his name in for the IBJJF European Championships in 2025, marking his return to competition after a few years away after a tentative retirement. Ribeiro has entered Masters 3 heavyweight, and has spoken before about wanting to compete around the World to say goodbye to the fans and friends he has made during his remarkable career.

Scheduled to take place in Costa Mesa, CA, on Feb. 9,  WNO 22 is pulling out all the stops to bring about yet another memorable night of grappling for both athletes and fans. Leading the event's star-studded roster, the world champion Victor Hugo is in the final stretch of his preparations to face the two-time ADCC finalist Nick Rodriguez in the Main Event and will be ready to use the full might of his jiu-jitsu to try and neutralize Nicky Rod's dangerous wrestling.

While there are many attractions scheduled for the Jiu-Jitsu Con on Aug. 31 through Sept. 1, the superfight card is one of the main allures that promises to heat up the mats in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Among the matchups, perhaps the most anticipated match-up will see the popular Tainan Dalpra facing a troublesome opponent, who goes by the name of Yan Lucas "Pica-Pau."

The registrations have closed for the adult black belt open class divisions at the 2022 IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship. Both the male and female divisions should kick off at 9:30 am local time in Anaheim on Saturday.

Before the black belts take the mats at the Walter Pyramid, droves of blue, purple, and brown belts will have their opportunity to try and earn an IBJJF World Championship in the junior categories.

The IBJJF 2022 World Championships are nearly upon us, and with just a few days left in the registration, it’s worth reviewing the batch of returning World Champions that have decided to defend their crown.

The 2021 IBJJF World Championships returns after a two-year hiatus, and one of the biggest questions from jiu-jitsu fans, followers and analysts is about who will win the absolute division.

Less than one month out from the first IBJJF World Championship since 2019, eight invited athletes had an opportunity to compete in a high-stakes event in Las Vegas. The winner would take home $20,000 and no doubt enjoy a huge confidence boost going into Worlds.

The IBJJF has announced the completed heavyweight Grand Prix coming to jiu-jitsu con on Nov 13, and it’s certainly a clash of the titans.

Before the black belts take the mats at the IBJJF No-Gi World Championship on Saturday, October 9 and Sunday October 10, the brown belts will warm the mats up on Friday, October 8.
