The fourth edition of the Emerald City Invitational is ready to launch on Saturday, March 12, in Atlantic City, NJ.The main event, an eight-man 155 lb bracket with a $10,000 grand prize, will feature EBI-rules veterans, ADCC West Coast Trials favorites, and the reigning Emerald City Invitational 145 lb champion.

Day two is sure to deliver as well, as the male purple and brown belts will take their place on the mats in search of the most coveted title in jiu-jitsu. Purple belt Joao Ribeiro was the only US representative to take first place in any adult division of this year’s 13th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championships. The 120 kg champion of GF Team, Ribeiro won five matches — including two submission victories — on his road to gold.
