Realizado em Long Beach, na Califórnia, o AIGA US 2024 foi a terceira qualificatória promovida pela organização nessa temporada, que já contou com torneios no Brasil e na Turquia. Com seis equipes no páreo, a Team Checkmat saiu com a vitória após triunfar sobre a Team 10th Planet na final da seletiva.

Team Checkmat defeated team 10th Planet in the AIGA US Qualifier finals on Sunday in Long Beach, earning the invitation to compete in the 2025 AIGA Champions league with $1 million in prizes on the line.

Teams Finishers and Checkmat will face off tomorrow for a chance to compete in the final of the AIGA US Qualifier. Both teams defeated team Legion on the first day of the two-day US Qualifier round robin tournament, meaning that whichever team wins the final team vs team duel will advance to the final for Group A in the two-side round robin.

The B-Team Bulls won the team competition at QUINTET.4 ReBOOT, defeating Team Polaris and Team 10th Planet in submission-only grappling competition. 10th Planet advanced to the finals by defeating Team Sakuraba.

QUINTET is set to make its return this weekend, streaming live on FloGrappling in North and South America. Four teams will make up the relay elimination style tournament, including 10th Planet, B-Team, Polaris and Sakuraba.

This weekend, eight women faced off in two round robins and a final for the 125lb Finishers strap and $2,000 in Bethlehem, PA. Atos black belt Alex Enriquez collected three quick subs in her pool, while 10th Planet black belt Grace Gundrum did the same in hers. The two young phenoms faced off in a cautious back and forth match, where Enriquez was able to win by ridetime.

This Sunday, eight women will face off in the Finishers Only 125 lb Grand Prix, for $2,000 and the 125 belt. There will be two round robin pools where the winner of each will battle in the finals.

This Saturday eight women and eight men squared off for the women’s absolute belt and the men’s 205 lb belt at the 11th edition of Midwest Finishers in Lombard, IL. Out of 14 bracket matches, only three went to overtime, and every match ended in submission. Both the men and women’s matches showcased wrestling, traditional styles of passing and guardwork, along with both opportunistic and manufactured leg locks.
