We have our co-main event set for WNO 27, as two of the best heavyweights in the world will throw down in a major matchup. It will be two Austin-based stars, as Six Blades's Victor Hugo takes on New Wave's Luke Griffith in a battle between two men who are undefeated on WNO. WNO 27 goes down April 18th in Round Rock, TX, with the main event happening between ADCC Double Champ Kaynan Duarte and CJI Champion Nick Rodriguez.

It's official! Nick Rodriguez will face Kaynan Duarte in the main event of WNO 27 in what promises to be one of the biggest grappling matches of the year. These are two of the biggest stars in the sport at the top of their games, with Rodriguez winning the Craig Jones Invitational and Duarte winning double gold at ADCC.

ADCC Champion Felipe Pena will take on Australian grappler & B-Team athlete Declan Moody at WNO 25: Duarte vs Jimenez in a heavyweight tilt. This will be Moody's first WNO match since his successful debut against Felipe "Laranjinha" Costa, and Pena's first action since his ADCC gold medal.

Kaynan Duarte will face off with Roberto Jimenez in the main event of WNO 25, in a clash of the reigning ADCC and IBJJF No-Gi Open Class Champions. WNO 25 will be going down December 4th in Houston, Texas. Tickets will be available soon. The card will be rolled out over the next few weeks, with multiple WNO Championship bouts expected.

This year, the reigning super fight champion Gordon Ryan will be defending his title twice, against Yuri Simoes and Felipe Pena, in an unprecedented challenge. The reigning ADCC superfight champion Gordon Ryan will be taking on his rival Felipe Pena at the 2024 ADCC World Championships, in their fourth all-time meeting on Saturday, Aug. 17 in Las Vegas.

The no.1 pound-for-pound grappler on Earth Gordon Ryan will be making his return to grappling to defend his WNO Heavyweight Championship against Australian powerhouse Josh Saunders at WNO 24 in Austin, TX on June 20. Gordon has been out of competition since last October dealing with stomach ailments that have hampered his training, but makes his return here on just a few weeks' notice. The match will be contested under 15-minute WNO rules for the championship belt.

The IBJJF will hold its inaugural premier event The Crown on Nov. 19, and it has filled the heavyweight division with a mix of World Champions and explosive up-and-coming black belts.

Natã Tenca of Almeida Jiu-jitsu won the Purple Belt Heavyweight division in impressive fashion with 3 out of his 4 matches ending in submission. To top off his performance in the Heavyweight division, Natã also competed in the Open Class division where he narrowly missed securing Double-Gold at the 2023 IBJJF European Championships. There’s a new main event for Tezos Who’s Number One on March 25 presented by Fat Tire.

Nicholas Meregali will make his no-gi debut on March 25 against Arnaldo Maidana at Tezos Who’s Number One: Musumeci vs Martinez presented by Fat Tire.

Nick Rodriguez and Elder Cruz will both make their sophomore appearances on the WNO stage on January 21 in Dallas, TX, as they square off in a match that’s sure to consume every inch of mat space.

Less than one month out from the first IBJJF World Championship since 2019, eight invited athletes had an opportunity to compete in a high-stakes event in Las Vegas. The winner would take home $20,000 and no doubt enjoy a huge confidence boost going into Worlds.

The IBJJF has announced the completed heavyweight Grand Prix coming to jiu-jitsu con on Nov 13, and it’s certainly a clash of the titans.
