Lightweight Female Gi Jiu-Jitsu Ranking

Here are FloGrappling's top-15 women's lightweights in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

AJP Rio brought a pretty monumental result - Sarah Galvao beat the number-one ranked Julia Alves in the semifinals (and then the sixth ranked Vitoria Vieira in the finals). We considered keeping Sarah lower because she is only a brown belt (and a new brown belt) but those results are undeniable. She's now in the top-5, somewhere she may stay for a long time.

Giovanna Leite also medaled at AJP Rio, beating Alves, so we gave her the fifteenth spot. She's not as well known, but if she can follow this up with a few more strong performances she will rise quickly.
