BJJ Stars, the Brazilian super fight organization, will be back April 27th with a medium-heavy grand prix and a strong slate of super fights for another evening packed with exciting action from some of the biggest names in gi jiu-jitsu. The grand prix winner will walk away with R$100,000 and the medium-heavyweight championship for the organization.

Coming in as the #1 ranked Brown Belt Medium-Heavyweight, representing Carlson Gracie Team, Uanderson Ferreira had no problems showing why he was the highest ranked competitor in the division. Submitting all of his opponents in every match, his attainment of the Gold medal was decisive and clear. Here is a match-by-match breakdown of his Gold medal run:

Andrew Wiltse had a relatively seamless ascent to his first black belt title, earning No-Gi Pans gold in 2020, winning his first two matches by points before winning a third via penalty. He didn’t give up a point in three matches, but the returning champ is unlikely to have such an easy route to the top in the medium heavyweight bracket in this go-around.
