The 2022 Jiu-Jitsu season will soon erupt into full swing. A year that’s sure to be packed with twists and turns, upsets and breakthrough moments, 2022 is bound to be unpredictable.

The return of Worlds, the growth of WNO, and the emergence of a new generation of champion grapplers– just a handful of the high points of a rollercoaster 12-month period that rarely took its foot off the gas pedal. Of course, there were also less positive happenings; confrontations, team splits, and more.

The most recent year of WNO produced some of the most exciting jiu-jitsu matches in history. Champions were crowned, stars were made, rivalries were born, and submissions were made popular on the WNO mats. With the 2021 season complete, and the first event of the 2022 season just a few weeks away, now is our chance to look back on the past season and identify which teams, athletes, divisions and techniques stood out most.

Craig Jones enter his Road To ADCC match against Lucas "Hulk" Barbosa on a six match win streak, including five submissions. Three of those wins have come in 2021, and two of them were against Hulk's Atos teammates Ronaldo Junior and Tye Ruotolo.

The FloGrappling seminar series continues on Friday, July 16th, when the P4P king Gordon Ryan returns to teach another seminar, this time joined by DDS head coach John Danaher.

Fight to Win is back again on Friday, June 26 for another night of grappling superfights. In the main event, Danaher Death Squad's Ethan Crelinsten will face the no.4-ranked featherweight, Gabriel Sousa in a no-gi match. Sousa has been clawing his way toward the top of the rankings, and will meet a heavier opponent in Crelinsten, the no.3-ranked lightweight.
