Adele Fornarino capped off her 2024 year that saw her double gold at ADCC Worlds 2024 with a championship-winning match via submission at WNO 25 at the Bayou Center in Houston on Dec. 4. 

Fornarino used a belly down straight ankle submission in the WNO Women's Strawweight Championship match against Sophia Cassella. The previous belt holder was Mayssa Bastos, who Fornarino defeated at ADCC.

Fornarino called for a 125 pound, or flyweight, title shot after the match. That title is currently held by Ffion Davies. 

Fornarino applied the submission less than four minutes into her match.
