There are a lot of great reasons to tune into WNO 25 this week, from grapplers proving they can stand on top of the world and claim a championship title to up-and-comers looking to prove themselves on the grand stage that is the 25th edition of the greatest grappling event series in the world: Who's Number One.

The 25th edition of Who's Number One is streaming live on FloGrappling on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET at the Bayou Music Center in Houston, TX. It's going to be a must-watch event with headliners Kaynan Duarte vs Roberto Jimenez in the main card heavyweight bout.

The event will feature 10 other bouts including Pedro Marinho vs Izaak Michell, Adele Fornarino vs Sophia Cassella, and many more.

We talked with FloGrappling expert contributor Joe Gilpin about why you can't miss WNO 25.

WNO 25 Marks Huge Milestone of Best BJJ Events

WNO 25 marks the 25th in a line of the best BJJ events in the sport. This 25th edition, like all of the others, puts on "the matches that fans most want to see with the stars that people care about the most," described Joe Gilpin.

"You can see stars like Kaynan Duarte, Adele Fornarino, Roberto Jimenez, and Izaak Michell, and a lot of great fights that grappling fans will have a great time watching," he finished.

About the two headliners, Gilpin said that "this is Kaynan's match to lose. I think this is a match with a guy who is proving he can take the spot as the next most consistent champion in the world. Roberto is a stiff test in this regard."

"Two High Octane, Very Experienced Grapplers" In Hernandez vs Cordova Undercard

Of the four undercard bouts, we asked Joe which drew his attention the most. He said "we are going to go with Emilio Hernandez vs Isaac Cordova at Featherweight."

The two are usually grappling at the 135 level, where they are both world ranked. For this match, however, they decided to bump up a bit.

"These are two high octane, very experienced grapplers who I have been wanting to see on WNO for a long time. The idea that they're finally getting their shot—I think they're going to take advantage of this opportunity and put on a great show."

The bout features two grapplers that are both constantly fighting for a submission and can bring a lot of excitement in the early moments of the event.

The Light Heavyweight Championship Is On The Line

"I think this one has slobber-knocker written all over it" said Gilpin, referring to the upcoming bout between Pedro Marinho and Izaak Michell who he called "absolute brawlers."

The two don't step down from a challenge and will give fans all of the action that they're looking for.

"They are porrada guys who are going to be looking for big slams. They are going to be looking to choke each other's lights out." he finished.

Tune in right before the final bout of the night to watch Marinho vs Michell in the WNO Men's Light Heavyweight Championship bout.

One Surprising Thing To Watch For At WNO 25

"There's some real bad blood in this matchup," Gilpin explained about the upcoming bout between Max Hanson and Carlos Henrique.

Although they may be two of the nicest guys in the sport, they are going to be returning to the mat with a vengeance to put on a dominant show against each other.

The story goes back to ADCC when Hanson was invited and Henrique felt that, with his win over Max, he should've been there in his place.

"A few weeks ago, the two faced off at Pan finals. Max finally won and got the win back. After that event, he called out Henrique on FloGrappling in an interview and spoke about how he didn't appreciate Henrique's comments and it motivated him to succeed," said Gilpin.

Carlos came right back at Hanson and the two have been going back and forth since.
