After her historic ADCC performance, Adele Fornarino will finally get her shot at WNO Championship when she faces off with Alex Nguyen, a dynamic grappler with tons of experience against the best. These two elite grapplers will battle at WNO 25: Duarte vs Jimenez, December 4th in Houston, TX, with the 115lb. WNO Championship on the line.

The WNO Championship is currently vacant after previous champion Mayssa Bastos signed an exclusive contract that left her unable to defend her belt. Now, two top contenders will meet to determine who the champion will be - including Fornarino who defeated Bastos at ADCC 2024.

ADCC 2024 was a star-making tournament for Adele Fornarino, with the Australian becoming champion in her weight class of -55kg and the absolute, defeating many of the best in the world over the course of a weekend. She has skyrocketed to the top of the grappling world and now aims to add her first WNO title to her collection here.

Alex is a black belt under Greg Souders who has made her name in the sub-only circuit with big wins at Finishers and an IBJJF World No-Gi Championship in 2022. She has won 21 of her last 22 matches leading into the contest and does have more experience in this division than Fornarino.
