The 2024 IBJJF World Championships are kicking off, and while most attention is going to the black belts on Saturday & Sunday, there will be a ton of amazing action in the colored belt divisions. The purple belts schedule will be:

• Thursday - female rooster-feather
• Friday - female light through super heavy + absolute, male rooster-feather
• Saturday - male light through super heavy + absolute

After Euros, Pans, and Brasileiros, a certain class of athletes have risen to the top of their respective weight classes. In particular, the women's division seem to be some of the strongest we have ever seen - with stars like Sarah Galvao, Lillian Marchand, Eliza Nascimento, and the Funegra twins all vying for championship gold. On the men's side, young athletes like Nata Tenca, Jose Steve, Caleb Nascimento, and Vitor Crizel have stood out as ones to watch in the Pyramid.
