Replay: Tayane In IBJJF World Finals
Tayane is one of the most successful women's black belts ever, winning the open class at the IBJJF Worlds in back-to-back years. She has recently returned from a four year USADA suspension and her potential match against the current reigning absolute champion Pessanha represents one of the biggest challenges of both of their careers (should they meet in the bracket).
The Crown is the first of what will become an annual event for the IBJJF, where they invite champions from the major tournaments into only six divisions (4 men, 2 women). The champions will win $15,000 and there will be over $120,000 in total prize money awarded - an IBJJF record.
