Wrestler Uses Imanari Roll To Score Takedown

Robert Avila, a Freshman at Lisbon High School in Iowa, just pulled off a variation of the Imanari Roll to hit a takedown.

We've seen wrestling moves adapted for use in submission grappling contests. Eddie Bravo's twister is a pin known as a guillotine in wrestling, as is the banana splits.

But this is the first time we've seen somebody (legally) using moves from jiu-jitsu in a wresting match.

Video from our friends at FloWrestling, and filmed by Todd Connor and Dan Burgess.
