Is This BJJ Technique 'Dirty'? Ezekial Choke From Inside Closed Guard
There's a fine line between what people consider acceptable on the mat, and what's downright dirty. The thing is, sometimes the 'dirty' techniques are totally legal, and very, very effective!
That was the inspiration behind the "evil yet peaceful" Yoga for BJJ creator Sebastian Brosche's latest release, a compendium of “sudden pain and shocking submissions”.
With names like the “F*** you footlock”, “Knee on throat”, “Ballkicker leg defense” and the “Gollum choke”, you’d be forgiven for thinking these were goofy techniques straight out of a kung fu manual. But we can attest, these moves work
Just take a look at the ezekiel from inside the closed guard. It’s not supposed to work, but it does. And that’s true for a lot of the moves in the set. Just be careful so you don’t become that guy at your gym. With great power comes great responsibility, so use your dirty BJJ techniques with care.
