Geo Martinez Post-Match Interview: 'I Still Haven't Hit My Peak'
Saturday night in Anaheim California the ADCC West Coast Trials brought us four enormous super fights. The first was a rematch from the 2015 ADCC World Championships; Bruno Frazatto vs Geo Martinez.
Southern California is Martinez's backyard and he brought a thrilling performance that had the crowd in attendance on their feet. Although he would lose the fight, many called his performance one of the most impressive of the night.
Early in the match 'Freakahzoid' had Frazatto in danger with multiple leg attacks and at one point was close to securing back control as the two continued to fight while rolling well off the mats.
After the event FloGrappling caught up with the 10th Planet Oceanside ring leader to talk about his epic battle with Atos black belt Bruno Frazzato, the team's performance and where he goes from here.
I'm the kind of guy, I want to be good at everything. I don't want to just be good at leg locks or points I want to be well rounded. That's what I've been working on the last six years of my life. I feel like I'm still new to the game, I haven't hit my peak yet. I feel like I'm evolving and picking up the game in a way that I never have before.
