Gabi Garcia is one of the most dominant no-gi competitors of all time, currently tied with Marcelo Garcia for most ADCC division gold medals at four. It's rare that a challenger can even be perceived as a threat to Gabi, who has ruled her division at ADCC for so long. It's only natural for such a legendary competitor to join the cast of superstars from the no-gi scene at Who's Number One (WNO) in Austin on October 2nd.

In steps 20 year old Elisabeth Clay, who has been on a rampage in the superfight scene over the last few months. Clay first submitted Chelsah Lyons at WNO: Gordon Ryan vs Kyle Boehm to kick things off. She then defeated Kendall Reusing at F2W, before coming back to F2W and winning by heelhook over black belt world champion Luiza Monteiro. Most recently, she won by gogoplata over Maggie Grindatti at WNO: Garry Tonon vs Dante Leon.

Gabi Garcia vs Elisabeth Clay

This matchup was going to happen sooner or later, might as well get it out of the way for a first time at WNO. This match pits the legendary Gabi, one of the all-time greats, against one of the best prospects in the game today.

Gabi has also competed recently, defeating Kendall Reusing by americana at F2W. This match should be an interesting clash of styles, the takedowns smash passing of Gabi matching up with the submission hunting, leglock style of Clay.

This match will be 15 minutes and submission only, with the match going to referee decision if there is no submission. It joins Gordon Ryan vs Matheus Diniz and Craig Jones vs Roberto Jimenez on an already stacked card, with more match announcements coming soon!
