Nathiely de Jesus defeats Ana Carolina via Decision

This matchup could have gone either direction but ultimately Nathiely got the victory tonight. Both of these ladies are highly decorated veterans of the game and showed great respect for their opponent. They were neck and neck as they battled for the submission, Ana Carolina held onto a kneebar and Nathiely answered with a straight ankle lock attempt. In the end, the time ran out but Nathiely was declared the winner via split decision.

Elizabeth Clay Defeats Kendall Reusing via Decision

These two have been representing the next generation of female jiu-jitsu and made an incredible matchup. Although Elizabeth is still a brown belt, she came out strong and got the decision victory over Kendall. In the end, these two won "Fight of the Night" for their performance — let's break down the action.

Liz played this match smart, quickly pulling guard and avoiding Resuing's strong takedowns. She demonstrated how effective her guard retention is, almost effortlessly recovering after getting passed. Throughout the match, both ladies had submission attempts but could not find success. As the clock ran out both girls had their opponent wrapped up in a toe hold grip. Excellent performance and hopefully we see these two match up again soon.
