Best Year Ever For Women at 2019 IBJJF World Master Championship?
Some of the biggest names in female jiu-jitsu will be competing at the 2019 IBJJF World Master Jiu-Jitsu Championship– take a look for yourself.
The women's divisions are loaded with talent for the 2019 World Master Jiu-Jitsu Championship. A number of big names will be headed to Las Vegas attempting to become Master Worlds champion, with three former adult black belt World champs registered at Master 1.
Here is who to look out for at female Master 1.
Claudia Doval (De La Riva)
Claudia Doval has won Worlds at adult the last three years running and is always near the top of the points rankings in the adult division. Claudia won her weight and the open class at Master Worlds in 2018 as well. It will be considered a major upset if Claudia does not repeat her double gold from a year ago this week in Las Vegas.

Karen Antunes (Checkmat)
Karen Antunes came back strong in 2018 after a break from competition following the birth of her child. The Mayka Araujo blackbelt won both Pans and Worlds in the adult division last year and then followed that up with a Master Worlds title as well. Antunes should be expected to come out on top in the featherweight division, although Heather Raftery from Atos should provide some tough competition.
