A black belt from Ireland known for his excellent leglock game, Halpin scored four submissions in five matches, two of which came in under 90 seconds by inside heel hook. A rear naked choke in the final put his opponent to sleep and secured his ticket to Los Angeles.

Representing Matrix Jiu-Jitsu in Kaiserslautern, Avdoyan, who took silver at the ADCC Trials in 2017, even submitted ADCC veteran Kamil Uminski in only 36 seconds! An accomplished grappler both gi and no-gi, Gluchowska scored two inside heel hooks en route to gold.
