The FloGrappling squad has touched down in the UAE which means we are just two days away from the kick off of the 2019 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

The event marks the conclusion of the AJPT (formerly ADWJJT) 2018-19 season and is always the home for some of the very best matches of the year.  Key players signed up for the prestigious event include Levi Jones-Leary, Adam Wardzinski, Bia Mesquita, Erberth Santos, Ana Carolina Vieira, Mayssa Batos, Paulo & Joao Miyao, and many more.

It should be noted that the Abu Dhabi World Pro is unique in the way they separate athletes by nationality: only two athletes per country are allowed to compete in what is termed the ‘main’ bracket. 

Every other athlete from that nationality will have to compete the day before in the country qualifiers to secure the second spot.  

Kaynan Duarte, Joao Miyao, Bia Mesquita, and Pablo Montavani are among the numerous high-level athletes that will need to go through the rigorous qualifying brackets in order to claim their position inside of the main bracket.
