For both gi and no-gi matches, IBJJF rules will be implemented but with a twist: there are no advantages, and the first fighter to either score 11 points or earn a submission wins.
Cornelius, the 2018 IBJJF European and Pan champion, will bring his trademark gi techniques in a 195lb bout against Aaron "Tex" Johnson of Unity Jiu-Jitsu, who replaces his teammate Manuel Ribamar. Tex is an ADCC Trials winner and Pan No-Gi champion known for his dangerous leglock game.
The co-main event will see local no-gi specialist Victor Pozas vs American pioneer of modern jiu-jitsu, Bill Cooper.
Brown belts Roberto Jimenez and Diego Almeida will face off in a 190lb gi match, and around 20 matches featuring kids to black belts will support the action.
The event will take place on January 12 in Houston TX. You can watch the event via live stream or via replay shortly after ONLY on FloGrappling.com.
