Looking Back At ADCC 2017: Our Favorite Submissions
Continuing our series looking back at ADCC 2017 comes a review of our favorite submissions from the event.
The Abu Dhabi Combat Club was founded in 1998, and it's one of the very first grappling events ever to allow a wide spectrum of attacks, including heel hooks and neck cranks; slams can also be employed to escape a locked-in submission attempt.
The laissez-faire approach is the foundation that built the legacies of some of the biggest names in modern grappling, including Marcelo Garcia, Roger and Kyra Gracie, the Ribeiro Brothers and more, all of whom collected their fair-share of submissions on their climb to the top.
Last year's ADCC World Championships saw the rise of Goron Ryan who secured 5 submissions (including weight + absolute divisions)`, the 'debut' of Craig Jones, and returning favorites doing their thing. Without any further ado, let's take a look at some of our favorite submissions from the 2017 ADCC.
