SUBVERSIV Produced By Fight 2 Win will take place on September 22 in Anaheim, California, and will bring a new concept of pro grappling competition to the SoCal scene.

The event features four teams of five athletes: 10th Planet, Carlson Gracie, Checkmat, and Team Lloyd Irvin. Teams will consist of representatives at 145, 165, 185, and 205lb, along with an open weight female athlete; athletes will compete under EBI rules.

The brackets have been released and promise some interesting first round matchups. We're particularly excited about Richie Martinez (10th planet) vs Samir Abdolkader (Carlson Gracie), Liz Carmouche (10th planet) vs Sophia Nordeno (Carlson Gracie), and Tim Spriggs (TLI) vs Will Pursselley (CSW).  

Teams advance as a single unit, so two members can lose their first match and still fight again in the final. TLI will face Team CSW (an organization headed up by famed grappler Erik Paulson), and 10th Planet will face Team Carlson Gracie.

The winners of each side will face each other in the final.
