Black belt World champions Luanna Alzuguir and Ana Carolina Vieira got married while in Las Vegas in a civil ceremony attended by close friends and family.
The couple were in Las Vegas to attend the IBJJF World Master Jiu-Jitsu Championship where rings were presented to past winners of the World Championship absolute division, a title Alzuguir conquered in 2010.
Alzuguir, 33, is a five-time IBJJF World Champion and an ADCC champion. Vieira, 24, is a two-time IBJJF World champion, having won black belt gold in 2017 and 2018. The couple have been dating for some time and have always been open about their relationship.
The intimate wedding ceremony was attended by around 15 people. There to witness the occasion were notable jiu-jitsu figures such as IBJJF World champions Michelle Nicolini, Hannette Staack and Nathiely de Jesus. Also in attendance was GF Team founder Julio Cesar Pereira, as were black belt competitors Manuel Ribamar and Shanti Abelha.
Ana Carolina’s brother Rodolfo Vieira, himself a five-time World champion, walked his sister down the aisle.
