The Official 2018 FloGrappling Summer Viewing Guide

The dog days of summer are upon us, but the live event schedule on FloGrappling is showing no signs of slowing down.

Fight To Win Pro continues its whirlwind tour of the United States, professional jiu-jitsu hits Australia with BOA Super 8, the IBJJF hosts two major events with American Nationals and Masters Worlds, and the start of the UAEJJF 2018-19 World Tour is on deck.

See the full breakdown of what lies ahead below.

F2W 77-85 (June 22 – August 18)

Fight to Win Pro is prepared to bring you professional jiu-jitsu nearly every weekend this summer. The promotion will hit locations across the United States over the span of nine events, located in Sacremento, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago, and more.

Many of the cards are still in development, but there are already some incredible matches locked in. We're particularly excited about Dustin Akbari vs. Enrico Coco, Vitor Oliveira taking on submission wizard Bill Cooper, and Dante Leon vs. no-gi specialist Joe Baize.

We'll be releasing a weekly preview for each F2W Pro event, stay tuned.

BOA Super 8 – June 23

We're seriously pumped about BOA Super 8.

Craig Jones, Mike Perez, DJ Jackson, and more are set to throw down in an eight-man, ADCC rules-based contest for a grand prize of $20,000 AUD. There will also be a series of superfights including a match featuring Thalison Soares versus rising Australian talent Mikael Yahaya.

IBJJF 2018 American Nationals – June 28-30

For the first time ever, American Nationals will be live-streamed on FloGrappling! American Nationals is a unique event in the IBJJF calendar. Given it's close proximity to Worlds,  American Nationals is the very first tournament for many recently promoted athletes who are eager to test their skills at the next level.

We’ve got blue belt gold medalists Sarah Thackray and Elisabeth Clay making their debuts in the women’s purple belt divisions. So far there are no new names in the men's divisions; however, we will see Worlds bronze medalist Adam Bradley and up-and-comer Austin Oranday mixing things up.

Brown belt sees more familiar faces: Jake Watson and Jonnatas Gracie and dark horses Kody Steele (Marianas Open Brown Belt Champion) and Kristof Scuzcs, the Ukrainian monster who recently joined up at Gracie Barra Northridge.

Black belt registrations are still rolling in, but we're currently excited to watch Nisar Loynab, Mayassa Bastos (her debut!), Tammi Musumeci, Karen Atunes, Pati Fontes, and Igor Paiva.

Expect a full preview on the event as we move closer to the registration deadline.
