Road To Worlds: NS Brotherhood Training Report

The same day Leandro Lo returned from a trip to the US he was on the mat, ready to lead his team through training to prepare for Worlds.
Class began with Lo showing one of his signature sweeps. Starting from Single-leg X he then moved to X-guard and used a technical get up to bring his opponent down to the mat. The class drilled this for about 10 minutes then went straight into rolling.
What was supposed to be six, eight-minute rounds at a lighter pace escalated into six grueling rounds of hard-fought sparring. With many athletes recovering from the weekend's Brasileiro competition, the goal was to train light, but with Worlds in view, the Brotherhood wasn’t taking their foot off the gas.
The team’s best competitors like Yago De Souza, Matheus Spirandelli, Igor Schneider, and Rafael Mansur, as well as the entire NS brotherhood squad, were all pushing the pace each and every round.
