The 'BJJ Goons' Reveal The Strongest Opponents They Faced On The Mat

Not many people in jiu-jitsu can overpower TLI standouts DJ Jackson and Tim Spriggs, but they revealed the strongest grapplers they’ve faced in competition on their new podcast.

Titled “BJJ Goons,” the show sees Spriggs (above right) and Jackson (above left) go back and forth with the banter and discuss everything from their grappling careers and cauliflower ears to '90s movies ("Pulp Fiction" vs. "Forrest Gump") and much more.

Spriggs and Jackson are both known as physically powerful grapplers. They took time to answer a listener’s question about who they consider are the strongest opponents they've met on the mat.

For Spriggs, the strongest person he's competed against is judo Olympian Travis Stevens—no surprise there.

Jackson revealed the strongest guy he's gone up against is Orlando Sanchez. “And it’s not even close,” said Jackson, referring to Sanchez as being “uber strong.”

Jackson had a great story about going up against a monster 350lb training partner named Brandon Logan who slammed him to the ground.

“I felt like he rock-bottomed me.

“He slammed the air and soul out of you.

“My entire soul and body was hurt. I don’t know why he would want to do that to me. I thought we were friends up until that moment. He’s 350lb. Why would you do that?

“Sometimes you gotta let that dog out.”
