The brackets for the black belt absolute divisions at the IBJJF 2018 Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship are out! Take a look and give us your picks...  

23 men and 14 women will via for the title of absolute champion. 

The male and female black belt absolute starts approx 4.00 pm local time (California) and will run on Mats 5-8.

Male adult black belt absolute 

Leandro Lo is aiming for what could be his seventh or eighth Pan title, depending on if he wins his weight division. Of course, he needs to get past many talented grapplers, not least withstanding Keenan Cornelius, who he could face in the semifinal. 

Explosive first-round matches include Matheus Diniz vs Max Gimenis, Fellipe Andrew vs Fellipe Trovo, Joseph "Moku" vs Gutumberg Pereira, and a mouth-watering encounter between man mountain Otavio Nalati and the fearless viking Tommy Langaker!

Female adult black belt absolute 

Beatriz Mesquita got silver at Euros, losing only to Tayane Porfirio. The absence of 2017 world champ means Mesquita's chances of becoming Pan absolute champ got a little better, but she'll likely face Luiza Monteiro in the semi. 

The other side of the bracket features a potential clashes between Nathiely Jesus and Talita Alencar, and Bianca Basilio and Jessica Flowers.
