Gordon Ryan has issued a challenge for 10th Planet black belt Geo Martinez to face Ryan's little brother, Nicky, in a match — and the elder sibling is willing to open his wallet to make it happen.

Even better, Martinez has said he’s down. 

Prior to winning ADCC, Gordon was well known for his callouts and offering large cash sums in winner-take-all contests. It wasn’t unusual to see him offering amounts as high as $10,000 of his own (or a sponsor’s) money. 

After offering $10K of his own cash, Gordon issued a challenge to Martinez: face 16-year-old Nicky in a submission-only match. 

The challenge comes after Martinez lost to one of Gordon's “junior” squad members, Jon Calestine, in the finals of the most recent EBI. 

With Martinez considered the No. 1 pound-for-pound black belt on the 10th Planet team, Gordon's earlier calls for a match between Nicky and Martinez were dismissed. But following Calestine's win, Gordon is once again stating his younger brother deserves a shot at Martinez. 

Gordon's challenge to Martinez started off at $10,000. His callouts via Instagram soon generated support from friends and followers, offering their own money in a bid to make the match happen. 

At last count, the offer for Martinez to face Nicky Ryan stood at $20,000 plus a Bitcoin (latest value, $11,740). 

Martinez responded on Instagram saying he was down for the match – even if it was with Gordon himself.
