Many thought Gordon Ryan was just making headlines when he announced he'd be making a switch from no-gi specific competition to competing in the gi. But if Tuesday's announcement is any indication, the ADCC champion is dead serious about the transition.

On Tuesday, Ryan announced via his social media he had signed with official gi sponsor Hypnotik for his future endeavors with the kimono. The signing is among the biggest for the relatively new BJJ and MMA apparel brand that also sponsors Liz Carmouche, Ovince St. Preux, and Grace Gundrum.
