It wasn't just the black belts who were out in action at the 2018 IBJJF European Championships – the brown belts competed, too.

While the black belt finals were being wrapped up, the brown belt absolute divisions (male and female) were just getting started. 

The brown belt absolute is always one of the toughest and hotly-contested categories in any tournament. Whoever wins the brown belt absolute is usually a good pick for a successful career in the black belt ranks.
