It was wild first day at No-Gi Worlds with a LOT of submission finishes. 

Day one of the 21017 IBJJF World No-Gi Championship saw black belt divisions run through to the quarterfinals. 

The action picks up again on Sunday Dec. 17, recommencing with the semifinals for the men’s divisions and the finals for the women. 

There are 10 male and four female returning black belt No-Gi World champions, with Caio Terra, Joao Miyao, Osvaldo ‘Queixinho’ Moizinho, AJ Agazarm, Rafael Freitas, Josh Hinger, Keenan Cornelius, Lucas Barbosa, Joao Assis, Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu, Patricia Fontes, Talita Alencar, Jessica Flowers and Ana Laura Goncalves all looking to claim another world title for their resume.
