Mackenzie Dern took on former Invicta FC title challenger Kaline Medeiros tonight at Invicta FC 27 and WOW, did she make a statement.    

Dern hit a trip at the end of the third round, quickly passed Medeiros' guard and took mount position. Her strikes from mount forced Medeiros to turtle, exposing the veteran's arm in the process. This allowed Dern to finish the fight by a vicious armbar.

Dern’s striking looking fantastic throughout the fight, landing frequently with a crisp jab and overhand right. She also attacked cleanly with several flush lowkicks and a few near-miss high kicks. 

Generally unfazed by any offense Medeiros threw at her, Dern simply dominated the fight throughout and to showed her continuing evolution as a mixed martial artist.   

An amazing performance from the now 5-0 Mackenzie Dern.
