A Lot On The Line Between Abreu & Nogueira At Fight To Win Pro 36
The main event will feature Leonardo Nogueira versus Ricardo "Demente" Abreu in a ten-minute superfight in the gi.
After a brief hiatus, Fight to Win Pro is bringing the grappling action back to Atlanta, and you can watch every match here on FloGrappling as it happens on Saturday, June 10.
The main event will feature Leonardo Nogueira versus Ricardo "Demente" Abreu in a 10-minute superfight in the gi. While both of these competitors are seasoned pros in the jiu-jitsu world, neither of them is a regular F2W athlete… or at least, not yet.
Abreu competed once at the promotion all the way back at March 2016's F2W Pro 36, where he went up against current light heavyweight gi champion Rafael Lovato Jr. Abreu was submitted by Lovato Jr., but given that this is someone who's a two-time silver medalist at Worlds and a 2010 European champion, it wouldn't be wise to underestimate him.
He's out to establish his dominance in the F2W circuit, and all that remains to be seen is if Atlanta will be the city where he'll get it done.
Standing in his way is F2W Pro newcomer Nogueira, who beat Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida himself back in 2011 to win Worlds. Even though Nogueira is just now making his debut for this promotion, he's well known outside of it for his extensive and impressive record, which includes championships at Pans, Euros, and Brazilian Nationals in addition to Worlds.
He's going into Atlanta with intentions of making a name for himself in the sub-only world, but Abreu isn't going to make it easy for him.
Tune in on Saturday, June 10, at 6 PM EST to watch Nogueira vs. Abreu, plus more than 20 other matches as they stream live on FloGrappling!
