Marianas Open X

The tiny Pacific island of Guam is super passionate about jiu-jitsu, and its annual Marianas Open draws top talent from around the world to compete for big cash prizes.

Returning champion Felipe Pena had a stacked bracket with the likes of Tanner Rice, Nick Calvanese, and Tarsis Humphreys. The -180lb division featured hungry up-and-comers such as Isaque Bahiense, Johnny Tara, Renato Canuto, and Michael Liera Jr.

2017 U.S. Grappling World Team Trials

The United World Wrestling 2017 U.S. Grappling World Team Trials saw gi and no-gi athletes congregate in Las Vegas for a shot at making the national squad ahead of the World championships later this year in Azerbaijan. 

The biggest name to hit the mats was 2016 No-Gi World champion Josh Hinger, who took double gold (gi and no-gi).

IBJJF 2017 Brazilian National Championships

The "Brasileiros" is considered the toughest jiu-jitsu tournament in the world -- and its energy is unmatched by any other competition.
