The fans have spoken, and Dillon Danis in their top choice to take on Jon Jones in a grappling match at the next Submission Underground event.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones defeated Dan Henderson at Submission Underground 2. Our sister site FloCombat put up a poll asking MMA fans who they wanted to see Jones face next.

The answer was resounding.

So it's clear: The fans want Dillon Danis.

Of course, this isn't official. First of all, the line of fighters wanting to grapple Jones is growing by the day: Chael Sonnen and Luke Rockhold have thrown their names into the mix.

Second, the match isn't official, and Jones would of course need to accept.

But it's obvious the fans want one guy, and one guy only, to face Jones.



"Look at those numbers," Danis said to us in a text message earlier Tuesday. "The numbers don't lie."

Danis is one of the hottest jiu-jitsu black belts and has become well-known in the MMA world thanks to his role as Conor McGregor's training partner and jiu-jitsu coach.

This year Danis has won the IBJJF No-Gi Pans and submitted Jackson Sousa with a heel hook at Polaris 4.
