Two no-gi studs will clash in the main event of Fight To Win Pro 18 when John Combs and DJ Jackson go head-to-head in Denver, Colorado, on November 18.
Combs, originally from California but based in Colorado, will take on the always-tough Jackson in a 10-minute, submission-only no-gi bout. He's coming off a big win over Richie Martinez in Guatemala, where he beat the 10th Planet stylist by armbar.
Jackson, a Team Lloyd Irvin representative, is known as one of the toughest and most dangerous middleweights in the game. A standout wrestler with near-unsweepable base, he won the inaugural Grappling Pro Championships last month, beating elite black belts Garry Tonon (see video) and Lucas Barbosa (see video).
Fight To Win Pro 18 also has superfights featuring Eliot Marshall vs. Bruno Bastos in a heavyweight no-gi match and Tim Spriggs vs. Grant Gaiter in a gi match. All matches are fought without points, with three judges rendering a decision in cases where there is no submission.
