Rafael Lovato Jr retained his light heavyweight title belt at Fight To Win Pro 7 this evening by beating Roberto 'Cyborg' Abreu in a 10-min submission-only no-gi match.

Lovato Jr, who weighed in at 218lb for the match, kept up a non-stop stream of offense throughout the match, regularly pushing forward on the feet and actively working from bottom who he pulled guard.

Cyborg shot a solid single leg early on, but Lovato Jr neutralized it with a kimura attack. From there, Cyborg seemed hesitant to attack for the legs, leaving Lovato to choose when to pull guard.

From bottom, Lovato attacked with a close omoplata that Cyborg had to stand to rip out of, and tied up the Brazilian with a nice de la-X guard.

The three judges unanimously scored it to Lovato Jr. after the 10-minute round was over.
