The famous Brazilian twins have always been known as amazing guard players, and they were two of the most important figures who helped make the berimbolo one of the techniques of the last few years.
So imagine our surprise when we saw this video from the recent IBJJF Belo Horizonte No-Gi Open.
Paulo Miyao. Shooting a blast double. Scoring two points. And then smiling about it like he couldn't contain his joy.
You can watch the full match here (takedown happens at around 13.25), but FloGrappling readers with good memories will remember we posted a video of them drilling takedowns at Unity Jiu-Jitsu in New York under the supervision of Murilo Santana.
Is this the beginning of a new era? Do featherweights need to fear the Miyaos' guard pulls AND takedowns? Time will tell.
