Fabricio Andrey Beats Ash Williams In ONE Championship Grappling Match
Fabricio Andrey defeated Ash Williams by decision at ONE Championship Fight Night 30 in the evening's grappling bout

Fabricio Andrey defeated Ashley Williams by decision at ONE Championship Fight Night 30 in the evening's lone grappling bout, controlling the fight with his takedowns and his top game. The 70kg bout was Fabricio's ONE Championship debut and his first major match of the year.
The match started pretty quickly with the Hokage showing off his judo with a number of slick foot sweeps that knocked WIlliams off his base consistently. Once Fabricio was able to get on top, he showed off his beautiful loose passing game, mixing high steps with torreandos in very quick combinations that put constant pressure against Williams's guard. Williams was able to enter legs at times and threaten submissions but wasn't able to rack up any catches under the ONE system. Fabricio was also able to make good use of the knee ride in his pinning, constantly using his shin to put pressure onto limbs and distribute his weight better.
ONE's next big grappling bout is a great one, with Tye Ruotolo defending his 185lb championship against pound-for-pound contender Dante Leon. They fought before in 2020 with Dante winning, so this is probably Tye's biggest test in the ONE ring so far. That will be going down May 2nd.
