Owen Jones and Julian Espinosa are set for a lightweight matchup at WNO 27, going down April 18th in Round Rock, TX.
Two of the division's brightest up-and-comers will meet up at WNO 27: Duarte vs Rodriguez when UK's Owen Jones meets Costa Rica's Julian Espinosa in lightweight action. Both men are undefeated on WNO and a win here for either of these electric grapplers can make a major statement.

Owen Jones, who was FloGrappling's 2024 Breakout Athlete of the Year, won over the grappling public with his dynamic grappling style and irreverent antics off the mat. The London-based athlete has been around the world training and preparing for matchups like this and he brings his submission-oriented style back to WNO, after his debut win over Dominic Mejia.
Julian Espinosa is still fresh off his victorious WNO debut in December and now turns around to take on another young challenger in Jones. The Renzo Gracie Academy grappler was also great in the IBJJF season, finishing second at the No-Gi Pans and Worlds.
The card will be headlined by ADCC Double Champion Kaynan Duarte taking on CJI Champion Nick Rodriguez in a major heavyweight match that is the biggest in WNO history. Expect more exciting matchups to be announced soon, including championship contests.
