Teenage Phenom Helena Crevar Outlasts Leilani Bernales At WNO 25

Helena Crevar, the youngest ADCC World 2025 medalist at 17, received a tough match against Leilani Bernales at WNO 25.

Helena Crevar Is Hunting The Sub At WNO 25

Teenage phenom Helena Crevar continued the strong start to her WNO career when she outlasted Leilani Bernales in a 15-minute judge's decision on Dec. 4 at the Bayou Music Center in Houston during WNO 25.

Crevar, from New Wave Jiu-Jitsu out of Austin, debuted at WNO in 2023 at 16 and a year later made her ADCC World Championship debut. She had a histroic showing in August, winning silver in the -65KG weight class. 

Against Leilani Bernales, Crevar was tested by the veteran Bernales, who fought off Crevar's leg attacks for 15 minutes. Bernales, 24, entered the match with that gameplan. But Crevar took the win via judge's decision. 

Crevar is now 3-0 at WNO. Watch the full replay.
