Mo Jassim Steps Down From ADCC Head Organizer Role
Mo Jassim announced over the weekend that he has decided to step down from the ADCC Head Organizer role after a record three Worlds at the helm
Mo Jassim has announced he will step down from the role of ADCC Head Organizer, marking the end of a record three year run at the top. Jassim organized the 2019, 2022, and 2024 ADCC World Championships, three of the most successful events in the organization's history.
Jassim will still remain as the organizer of the ADCC North American Trials and the ADCC Opens, while focusing on the expansion of the ADCC Youth Worlds.
We reached out to Mo and asked about his decision. He had this to say;
I've been following the sport for twenty four years, I've been organizing now for seven years. I'm very proud of what we accomplished, being able to do things that many people didn't think would be possible. That's it, I'm looking forward to going back and being a fan again.
It remains to be seen who will take over the ADCC World Championships in 2026 and what their vision for that tournament will be. Under Jassim, there's no doubt that the event reached new heights, broke records, and created some of the biggest stars in the history of the sport.
