ADCC Silver Medalist Jay Rodriguez Receives His Brown Belt

ADCC Silver Medalist Jay Rodriguez was promoted to BJJ brown belt by his brother Nick Rodriguez over the weekend, after only four years of dedicated training. Rodriguez has achieved a remarkable amount of success in his young career and even though he is exclusively a no-gi athlete now he has a belt rank more emblematic of his skill level and experience.

Jay announced the news on his social media in the following post;

Prior to entering the world of grappling, Jay was a wrestler who has been able to develop into one of the sport's most exciting talents. He brings great takedowns, high pace, good passing, and incredible submission escapes to the mat every time he competes. Jay was one half of 2023's Match of the Year, his bout against Mica Galvao at WNO 20: Night of Champions.
