3-Time College Wrestling Champion Jason Nolf To Pursue Grappling Full-Time
Penn State legend Jason Nolf has committed to professional grappling after retiring from competitive wrestling.
3-time NCAA D1 wrestling champion Jason Nolf has decided to commit to professional grappling after announcing his recent retirement from competitive wrestling. Nolf is one of the best collegiate wrestlers ever, and the all-time pins leader at Penn State.
Nolf has already begun his career in grappling, losing in a competitive match against FloGrappling's #1-ranked middleweight Tye Ruotolo by kneebar. Even though he lost, he showed great skill and with more experience he can be a threat to anyone given his uniquely high level of wrestling skill. Jason regularly trains with grapplers like Izaak Michell and has spent time with pro teams like Vanguard and B-Team.
Jason's NCAA career was wildly successful, with three national championships representing the Penn State Nittany Lions. Jason's style was high-pace, ankle picks, creative scrambles, and diverse arsenal of offense. His style has always been one that fans have speculated would translate well to submission grappling - and now we will get the opportunity to find out.
Jason recently announced his retirement from freestyle wrestling on Twitter, and then further discussed his future plans on his Youtube channel.
