One of the most competitive weight classes, and one with many surprises on Day 1, ended in a final that many would have expected. And it went down just like many thought it would at the 2024 ADCC World Championships.

Defending ADCC -66KG champion, Diogo Reis, met rival Diego Pato, the bronze medalist in 2022, in the final at T-Mobile Arena in Last Vegas.

Reis submitted Pato, who himself had submitted every athlete he had faced thus far in the tournament, with a rear naked choke.

Reis, known to the BJJ world as Baby Shark, reached the finals after a pair of tough matches in the semifinals and quarterfinals.

He becomes the first back-to-back champion in the -66KG weight class since Rubens Charles won three straight ADCC titles from 2013-2017.
