The favorite in the +99KG weight class will have a familiar opponent in the 2024 ADCC World Championship semifinals at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Aug. 18. 

Luke Griffith, the betting favorite in the weight class entering the tournament on Aug. 17, advanced to the semifinals in the +99KG bracket. And his first match will be against teammate "Big Dan" Manasoiu.

Griffith submitted Roosevelt Sousa in the quarterfinals, while Manasoiu did the same to Haisam Rida. The two train in Austin with New Wave, the same gym as Gordon Ryan and Nicholas Meregali.
