Jay Rodriguez a ADCC West Coast Trails Champion in 2022, advanced to the ADCC quarterfinals of the -88KG ADCC World Championship bracket.

Rodriguez had an impressive submission against Achilles Rocha with 3:40 minutes left in the match.

Rocha, as many know, is Vagner Rocha's son and the 2024 ADCC World Championship is a family affair. Jasmine Rocha, his sister, is one of the favorites in the -55Kzg weight class.

Rocha gave an impressive ADCC World Championship debut, but "JRod" advanced after the match was delayed due to a cut. Rodriguez bounced back from his loss at WNO 24, where he faced Tainan Dalpra.

He will face Ryan  Aitken in the next round after Aitken beat Pedro Marinho.
